Music Program Admissions & Scholarships

Audition Information

Students intending to major or minor in Music should perform two contrasting works or movements (10 minutes total). Video recordings are preferred, but audio only will be accepted if video is not possible. Following are some guidelines for audition recordings:

  • Memorization is not required, but is preferred for Piano and Voice.
  • For Vocalists, performance in more than one language is desirable. Students may record with a live accompanist or pre-recorded accompaniment. A Cappella submissions will be accepted if accompanist or recording is not available.
  • Percussionists may perform on up to three different instruments.
  • All audition materials must be received by April 1st to be considered for Music Scholarships.
  • Applicants will be notified of audition results (including any scholarship offers) 2-3 weeks after we receive all of their materials.

Scholarships

Scholarships for students may be awarded to incoming music majors. A minimum GPA of 3.0 and an ACT score of at least 20 is required to be eligible for a music scholarship. You must be admitted to UW-GB before you can be accepted as a music major.

Choose an audition date, or contact the proper UW-Green Bay Music Faculty.
