Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements are being finalized, but will likely include successful completion of the following undergraduate coursework:
  • Introductory Biology (with lab)
  • 2 semesters of Introductory Chemistry (with labs)
  • 1 semester Organic/Bio-organic Chemistry
  • 1 semester Biochemistry/Nutritional Biochemistry
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology (with lab)
  • Microbiology (with lab)
  • Statistics
  • Introductory Human Nutrition*
  • Introductory Psychology/Human Development
  • Genetics/Human Genetics*
  • Food Science/Food Chemistry (with lab)*
*Upon admission into the master’s program, these courses may be taken in the first year.

Three routes for admission to our graduate program:
  1. UWGB undergraduates (undergraduates successfully completing the listed prerequisite coursework by their junior year, are eligible to apply for admission to the master’s program for their senior year to complete the approximate 2 year graduate program and earn both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees with eligibility to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam.       
  2. Bachelor’s degree graduates with a DPD verification statement from our or another accredited undergraduate dietetics program.
  3. Bachelor’s degree and completion of required prerequisite coursework.
