Have an Idea? We Can Help.

The University of Wisconsin Green Bay Research Council (RC) began supporting faculty through internal funding in 1994 as an effort to enhance the ability of the university to realize and celebrate its potential for distinction in research, creative, and scholarly activities in all fields of study.

  • Teaching

The Research Council seeks to support faculty activities that integrate scholarly work and teaching.

  • Research

Through its Grants in Aid of Research and Research Scholars programs, the Research Council aims to help faculty develop and strengthen their scholarly activities.

  • Service

Research Council programs offer opportunities for faculty to engage in projects with outcomes that can strengthen local communities.

Past Grant Recipients

"I used the GIAR grant funding to support my participation in an international exhibition in Korea which was held 4/27 - 5/22, 2012. My membership with the Korean Contemporary Ceramic Artist Association allowed me to attain opportunities to participate in exhibitions in Korean (2012) and France (2013). The grant amount helped build pedestals and crates, and ship the work internationally."
