Dr. Baerwolf joined the social work faculty in fall 2023. Dr. Baerwolf completed their doctorate in social work (DSW) at the University of St. Thomas in spring 2023.Their dissertation is titled LGBTQ Youth Experiences of Home Confinement During the COVID-19 Pandemic. For two years, Angela was a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work. Angela has served seven years in the field as a school social worker in Madison, with five years of previous experience in schools as an English teacher. Angela has been a board member of the Wisconsin School Social Workers Association from 2016-2022, having served one term as president. Their interests include school social work, LGBTQ youth mental health, and social work education in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
