Esports

Your Campus Just Leveled Up

Esports (or electronic sports) is a form of competitive organized video gaming. At UW-Green Bay, the Esports program allows students to participate in both competitive and casual game play with fellow peers and gamers online. Console and PC gaming, plus a wide variety of games means that every gamer has a place in our community.

About the Esports Lounge

The Esports Lounge at UW-Green Bay opened in February 2021.  The room contains 18 Alienware gaming PCs, two large screens for Nintendo Switch and Xbox gaming, and an ever-growing number of games.

Esports Lounge Guidelines

Treat staff, equipment, and other users with respect.  This means:

  • No abusive language or behavior, such as yelling, threats, bullying, harassment, or intimidation.
  • Use the equipment in the Esports Lounge carefully and only as intended.  Users are responsible for repair or replacement of misused equipment.
  • Players are welcome to bring their own keyboards, mice, and headsets to use in the Lounge, but please reset the Lounge’s equipment when you are finished.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the Lounge except lidded water bottles.
  • Do not use the computers for any other purpose besides gaming (no YouTube, Twitch, web browsing, etc).  Please do not download games or software.
  • Computers may be reserved for group rentals at certain times.  If you receive a message that your PC will be in use during the time you intend to play, please plan to use a different machine.

Esports Lounge staff have final discretion in enforcing these guidelines and applying disciplinary actions, including asking users to leave the space and/or extended suspensions from the Esports Lounge.
