John Coyle Speaker Event

Wednesday, August 27 • 3 p.m.- 4 p.m. 
The Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the Resch School of Engineering are partnering to bring John Coyle to campus for a keynote talk on Design Thinking and Innovation to kick off the academic year. Coyle is a 5X TEDx speaker, Olympic silver medalist, and best-selling author. This event is free and open to the entire UWGB community.

Company Tour: Discover Green Bay

Explore the heart of local tourism with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Discover Green Bay Visitor Center! College students will get an inside look at the visitor experience, connect with current staff, and learn how careers in tourism and hospitality drive economic impact and community development across our region. Fall Elevator Pitch 

Tuesday, October 14 • 5:30 p.m.- 7 p.m. • Zoom
Every savvy job seeker has a personal elevator pitch to use during quick encounters with hiring officials at job fairs, during networking events, or a chance meeting someplace else. An "elevator pitch" is a carefully crafted message designed to explain your strengths, abilities, and goals to a professional or business executive. The catch is that it must be given in the time that it takes to ride up an elevator – 60 seconds or less! Register ahead to apply to present. Wealth Management Day

Wednesday, October 22 • 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 
For students interested in careers in wealth management fields (personal financial planning, estate, tax, retirement, insurance, personal investing, etc.), this day-long event provides company representatives and financial planning students with a structured opportunity to learn together, hear a Keynote from the COO of the CFP Board, enjoy lunch, and have on-the-spot round robin interviews with financial firms. Innovation On-Ramp Showcase

Wednesday November 5 • 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  MAC 208 and Winter Garden
Calling all creative problem solvers! UWGB students are invited to present their innovative solutions to problems, with live presentations in an idea showcase to a panel of judges, and a poster presentation session. Register to present by October 23, link to open in September. No registration required to attend. 

Junior Achievement Stock Pitch Market Competition  

Thursday, November 20 • 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
UWGB students can volunteer to help out with this Junior Achievement event, where high school students will come and learn about investing in the stock market during a fast-paced, often chaotic, and always fun event. Email stcsbevents@uwgb.edu to sign up as a volunteer.

Tuesday, December 2 • 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. • Marketing & Sales Lab, Wood Hall 2nd Floor 
Come and practice your sales pitch! Students can practice presenting a sales pitch in a personalized, round-robin style event where they’ll get individualized feedback from Marketing and Sales Professionals. Plus, time to mingle with professionals and enjoy Hors d'oeuvres. Register to present by November 24, link to be shared in October.

Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl

UWGB students can volunteer to help out with this event where high school students compete in a quiz-bowl testing their finance and investment knowledge. Regional finance and banking professionals will also be there volunteering. Email stcsbevents@uwgb.edu to sign up as a volunteer.
