Welcome to the Phoenix Family! We have designed these pages just for you - our transfer students. You will find the information here helpful throughout your time at UW-Green Bay (Manitowoc, Marinette, Sheboygan or Green Bay campuses). From start to finish...we are here for you!

 Steps to complete immediately after acceptance

  • Set up your UWGB network account and password
    • Your acceptance letter will include your UWGB network user ID and email address. Once you receive this account information, you will need to complete your UWGB Network Account setup by setting your password via the instructions here
    • If you encounter any issues while attempting to set this up, please contact the IT Service Desk at gbit@uwgb.edu or 920-465-2309.
  • Take next steps in the Wings Portal
  • Register for your classes
  • Check your UW-Green Bay email daily
    • All important communication will be sent via UW-Green Bay email
    • You will hear from your academic advisor via UW-Green Bay email a few days after you are admitted, and once your advising appointment is scheduled, you'll receive a confirmation email which includes information regarding your virtual advising session where you will develop your class schedule
  • File the FAFSA to apply for financial aid, or add UW-Green Bay’s school code (003899)
    • It typically takes two weeks post-admission to hear from our financial aid office. If you intend to use financial aid, please complete the FAFSA as soon as possible, or add our school code (003899) if you have completed the FAFSA
    • Explore and apply for departmental and outside scholarships
  • Complete the Housing Application (if you intend to live on the Green Bay campus)

Steps to complete prior to your first day of classes

  • GB Orientation (required for all new students)
  • Get your books
  • Review the GBO Guidebook 
    • This digital flipbook will help you learn all about UW-Green Bay, important resources, answers to your questions, and ways to get involved!
  • Get familiar with Canvas, the platform used for online learning
  • Parking (for Green Bay campus only)
    • Students are automatically charged for parking in SIS and can opt out if it's not needed
    • Review all the parking details here
  • Finalize your financial plan
    • Need help figuring out how to pay for college, or have a question on the status of your financial aid? Call GBOSS at 920-465-2111

Steps to complete within your first day and week

  • Access your online classes
    • But don’t panic if there is nothing to see until the first day of classes
  • Log into SIS to make sure financial aid has applied to your charges
    • Pay any outstanding charges by the due date to avoid late fees. See how to here
