Student Orientation Meetings

As a travel course (faculty-led program) leader, you are required to have program orientation meetings with your students prior to departure. The Office of International Education asks that you meet a minimum of three times (or a total of 6-9 hours) with your group. Since travel course programs vary in focus, location, type of students, etc., please note that a variety of meeting methods can be used. Topics expected to be covered in meetings are indicated on pages 9 and 10 of the Development & Administration of Travel Courses PDF.

An Office of International Education representative is willing to come to your meetings to answer any questions your students may have or can present on different topics if needed. There is also a general template that is available for your use to help guide you through the orientation process.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Office of International Education.
