Important Financial Aid Dates

This page provides students with a general overview of the financial aid processing timeline. Exact dates are subject to change.  We encourage students to familiarize themselves with the following calendars as well:

2019-2020 Academic Year

  • March 31, 2020: Application for Summer 2020 financial aid opens.
  • May 10, 2020: Final day for disbursement of financial aid for the academic year.  Students must submit the FAFSA, provide any additional documentation that is required and be awarded prior to their last day of class.  Late applications may take approximately two weeks to process after receipt of all materials.  

2020-2021 Academic Year 

  • September 1, 2019: Application opens for new freshman and continuing student scholarships administered through Financial Aid.  Dates and criteria for other scholarships may vary.
  • October 1, 2019: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available. The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for grants, loans and work study. Use 2018 income and tax information. Certain funds are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Early application is encouraged. 
  • December 1, 2019: Financial aid begins notifying students of additional FAFSA requirements via campus email. An award may not be processed until the student provides all requested documentation.
  • February 15, 2020: Priority application date for new freshman and continuing student scholarships administered through Financial Aid. Dates and criteria for other scholarships may vary.
  • March 1, 2020: Financial aid begins sending award notifications to students via campus email (new students will receive a letter as well).  Students may accept or decline loan and work study funds through SIS.  
  • March 31, 2021: Application for Summer 2021 financial aid opens.
  • May 9, 2021: Final day for disbursement of financial aid for the academic year.  Students must submit the FAFSA, provide any additional documentation that is required and be awarded prior to their last day of class.  Late applications may take approximately two weeks to process after receipt of all materials.
