Important Financial Aid Dates
Please note, some forms of financial aid have limited dollars to spend, so complete your FAFSA early each year in order to ensure consideration for all types of aid. Use the dates below to ensure you are doing what you can to get all available aid.
2024-2025 Academic Year

October 1, 2023 | General application for UW-Green Bay Scholarships opens. |
December 2023 or By January 2024 | Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) typically becomes available Oct. 1st. The Department of Education will be releasing a new form for the 2024-2025 school year in December 2023 or by January 2024. The application will use 2022 income and tax information to determine eligibility for grants, loans and work study. Certain funds are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Early application is encouraged. |
February 1, 2024 | Financial aid begins notifying students of additional FAFSA requirements through campus email. An offer cannot be processed until the student provides all requested documentation. |
February 15, 2024 | Priority application date to ensure maximum consideration for UW-Green Bay Scholarships. Late applications are accepted through June 30. |
April 30, 2024 | Financial aid begins sending offer notifications to students via campus email (new students will receive a letter as well). Students may accept or decline loan and work study funds through SIS. |
March 31, 2025 | Application for Summer 2025 financial aid opens. |
May 11, 2025 | Final day for disbursement of financial aid for the academic year. Students must submit the FAFSA, provide any additional documentation that is required and be awarded prior to their last day of class. Late applications may take approximately two weeks to process after receipt of all materials. |

March 31, 2026 | Summer Federal Direct Loan Request will become available in SIS for students who registered for Summer 2026. |
May 10, 2026 | Final day for disbursement of financial aid for the academic year.
