Welcome to the Printing Press

A student-managed resource for regional voices.

More than a classroom, the Teaching Press is first and foremost a publisher. We provide hands-on opportunities for students to experience the art and craft of bringing ideas to life on the printed page.

Who We Are

At the Press, we live by (and work under) two mottos.

1) “Failure is baked in” and 2) “Don’t expect competence.” This is because our interns are learners first, applying emerging skills of copyediting, book design and printing to each unique project. So we may be new to the world of publishing, but we're ready and eager to develop our skills by diving right in.

Support the
Teaching PRess

The Press began because of a donation to the college and continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of our community. Your tax-free donation provides direct support for student learning, including internships for students, materials and prototyping – as well as the space to be creative, solve problems and learn from our experiences.
