Director's Welcome

Welcome to Graduate Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, we are here to help you grow and succeed.

Graduate school is a unique, intellectually invigorating time for a select set of students choosing to differentiate themselves from their peers.  Graduate students are high achieving, self-motivated, creative thinkers.  Graduate faculty are research active.  Together, these groups create an environment where students transition from knowledge receivers to knowledge creators, from participants in the learning process to partners in the learning process.  The graduate experience creates problem solvers, and in doing so, community and organizational leaders.

UW-Green Bay’s mission identifies the collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to problem solving as a core attribute of the students we graduate.  Graduate studies at UW-Green Bay fully embraces this core learning outcome, by focusing on the importance of research, applied projects, and partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders.  We recognize the value of working students, and offer a wide-diversity of on-line, face-to-face, and hybrid programs awarding certificates, masters, and doctoral degrees.  We are actively expanding our graduate offerings to build a program portfolio representative of the diverse strengths and specialties of our four colleges, and to advance the economic, natural resource, and cultural assets of NE Wisconsin and the broader community.

Thank you for your interest in the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.  We encourage you to contact us directly with any questions about our programs, or if you are an organization interested in building a partnership with our campus.
