A Clear Path to Success

“I appreciated so much that UW-Green Bay's Social Work program (both BSW and MSW) classes were laid out semester-by-semester as a plan for the students. I never had to worry about which class to take next, what would be available, or if I was going to be able to graduate on time.”

In addition, students may contact the MSW Program Coordinator and request that an alternative elective course be approved. The course must fit within the Program’s mission and goals, and be congruent with the Advanced Generalist concentration or Individualized Area of Emphasis. All requested courses must be graduate level in both scope and content. Students may also develop an Independent Study course as an elective. Independent Study courses must be reviewed and approved by the student’s faculty advisor and the MSW Program Coordinator.

Class Schedules and Locations

Courses in the MSW Program are offered in a combination of on-line, hybrid, and face-to-face delivery. Students have a choice of selecting daytime or evening sections of most courses. Courses are scheduled Monday through Thursday. Face-to-face courses are held on either the UW-Green Bay campus or in Wausau, depending on student preference at the time of admission.
