Helpful Hints

It is getting to be that time of year where the National Residence Hall Honorary would like to recognize leaders that have worked hard throughout the academic year! NRHH’s “Of the Year Awards” or “OTY’s” do just that; recognize outstanding individuals who worked hard to make a difference by going beyond their expected duties. It is not hard to find these individuals for they can be an advisor, student, resident assistant, executive board member, faculty/staff member, or any other leader on campus!

Here is what makes a fantastic nominee for an OTY award:
  • The nominee has impacted students on campus throughout the academic year
  • The nominee has accomplishments that they have done throughout the year
  • The nominee has motivated and worked well with others
  • The nominee had been involved with and contributed greatly to this campus
  • The nominee has gone above and beyond to stand out as a leader on campus
Do you want to nominate a Program? You can do that too!

Just follow these guidelines when writing about the program:

  • Be able to give a well-thought out and detailed description of the program
  • Be able to describe the effects the program had on its participants
  • Be able to explain how the program met its goals
  • Be able to give details on how the program benefited the audience and this campus

So now that you know the criteria, isn’t there an individual or program that stands out in your mind? You can nominate an individual or program by filling out either the general or program OTY form and emailing it to sonrhh@uwgb.edu by TBD for 2024.
