Attend Sustainability Focused Campus Events

Earth Day Picnic

Celebrate Earth Day by attending UW-Green Bay's annual Earth Day Picnic. Receive a free locally sourced meal provided by the Public and Environmental Affairs Counsel, SLO Food Alliance, and Dietetics Club.

Make A Difference Day

Sign up for this annual October event to participate in community service projects and receive a free t-shirt. You can take part in on-campus projects such as picking up litter, painting, or plastic film recycling. Otherwise, you can volunteer at off-campus locations such as the Green Bay Botanical Garden, New Community Shelter, or New Zoo. Visit UW-Green Bay Make a Difference Day for registration details.

Food Day

Celebrate this nationally recognized event in October by attending UW-Green Bay Food Day activities prepared by the Dietetics Club, PEAC, and SLO Food Alliance. This all day event aims to promote healthy and sustainable food options and consists of presentations from local businesses and farmers, a free locally sourced dinner, and special guest speakers.

NAS Seminar Series

The NAS Seminar Series features a different speaker every Friday during the academic year. The program allows students and the community to learn about scientific research and to discuss current issues.

This student organization fair, held once each semester, is a great way for students to become more involved at UW-Green Bay. OrgSmorg is an excellent opportunity to find out about student organizations that are concerned with sustainability such as the Public and Environmental Affairs Council, SLO Food Alliance, Dietetics Club, Campus Kitchen, Round River Alliance, and Ducks Unlimited. Visit the Sustainability Student Orgs page for more information.

iPat Environmental Film Series

The iPat Environmental Film Series offers an entertaining way to learn more about sustainability and current environmental issues. Attendance is free, and each film is followed by a discussion panel to provide more insight and actively engage the audience.
