Elevator Pitch

Elevator Pitch

Tuesday, March 5 • 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. • Zoom
The Elevator Pitch is a virtual networking event and competition where 15 student finalists have 60 seconds each to present their pitch. An "elevator pitch" is a carefully crafted message designed to explain your strengths, abilities and goals to a professional or business executive. It’s a great way to practice public speaking skills in a practical way that will be useful for students as they prepare for careers. Area business partners and fellow students are invited, so anyone who attends will have opportunities for networking. We are hoping that the virtual format will make it more accessible and inviting for online students to participate, too. While the event is hosted by the Cofrin School of Business, we welcome students from all majors at UW-Green Bay to participate.

Unexpected Leadership

Wednesday, March 18, 2024 • 4 p.m - 6 p.m
Leaders don’t always come from those at the top of the class, the most vocal, obvious allies, or even those who are senior in an organization. Join the Thompson Center and Schreiber Foods Institute for Women’s Leadership for a conversation with Major General (Ret.) Marcia Anderson. Anderson’s experiences provide an example of an unlikely and unexpected leader and why cultivating listening skills, being attuned to, and adept at “reading the room”, are crucial for professional success—and, for those who are already in senior roles, developing the ability to identify those unexpected leaders in your organization. Register Here
