Business Week 2021

We are excited to announce Business Week 2021, co-presented by the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and Career Services at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UW-Green Bay). 2021 will be the eleventh year the program has been held at UW-Green Bay. The success of Business Week depends on the outstanding community and business support received by the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. Generous support of all programs associated with Business Week over the past ten years has enabled over 1,100 students to network with business leaders and learn the finer points of interacting as business professionals.

Business Week is valuable to both business leaders and Cofrin School of Business students. The students add to their classroom learning by participating in a variety of events, all of which include interaction with community business leaders. These events help students to develop the professional presence expected of individuals in the business world. Events such as the "Learning to Dine Like a Professional" Etiquette Lunch and "Mock Interview Day" help students to develop the interpersonal and professional acumen expected of business professionals. The "Job and Internship Fair" gives students the opportunity to stand out from the crowd and become more than just a name on a resume. Again this year there will be an "Elevator Pitch Competition & Networking Night," for which students will create a 60-second video pitching themselves and their career strengths, abilities, and goals.

Business Week 2021 will be 100% virtual. All of the events will be designed to provide access to all four of our campuses and engage students, faculty members, and employer partners throughout the region. Business Week typically culminates with the Keynote Address and Networking Dinner on the stage of the Weidner Center. However, this year’s event will allow business leaders and top students to engage in an evening of conversation and learning in a virtual format. We are excited to announce that our speaker this year will be Terri Jacke, Founder & Organizational Development Consultant, Inspired Training Institute Inc.

About Terri Jacke

Terri is an accomplished coach, speaker, and trainer with more than 25 years of experience. She founded Inspired Training Institute, Inc., in 2003 as a platform to support her passion for training and organizational development.

As a seasoned executive coach, Terri offers a unique blend of business savvy, perceptiveness and momentum to the development of executives, business leaders and leadership teams. Her coaching style fosters the self-discovery, clarity and personal accountability necessary to accelerate leadership development for her clients. She works with clients across numerous industries and for companies ranging from small privately-held firms to large Fortune 500 companies to inspire organizations through character, leadership and culture development.

In 2020, Terri added published author to her professional portfolio with the release of her first book, Is This a Lousy Job or Is It Me?: A Real-Life Guide for Achieving Success at Work. Terri began the work that led to this book as a way to better understand how to help people who struggle with difficult coworkers, meaningless work, and lousy work situations. She launched an informal analysis into what allowed some people to move gracefully through all of those obstacles to find fulfillment and success while others rebelled, shrank, or got stuck. Over the course of 14 years of observation, inquiry, study, and writing, a fascinating pattern of character development became clear. Is This a Lousy Job or Is It Me? introduces a compelling model about the seven stages of character development at work, and it empowers readers to employ the natural sequence of those stages to achieve more fulfillment from their work and greater success at work. The model, known as the BY FABLE model, has served as a valuable framework for Terri’s work coaching clients.

Terri holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior. She is certified by Gallup as a Strengths Coach, and she is extensively experienced as an MBTI® practitioner having been awarded the official designation of MBTI Master Practitioner. Terri has also served as an adjunct instructor for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Applied Leadership in Teaching and Learning Graduate Program. She stays engaged with her community through a variety of Boards and Advisory Councils.
