Ketty Boilesen

Ketty Boilesen Account Specialist, Educational Communications 1987 Ketty I. Boilesen, 85, De Pere, died at the Jack and Engrid Hospice Residence on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Nov. 15, 1924, the eldest of four children.

She married her late husband, Eigil F. Boilesen, in Henne, Denmark, on Aug. 4, 1947, and they immigrated to the U.S. in November of 1952, initially moving to Milwaukee. Ketty and Eigil had been residents of De Pere since 1961. Ketty worked at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, beginning in 1970, in the Dean's Office, then moving over to the Center for Television Production until she retired in 1987.

Ketty is survived by her daughter, Helle (Walter) Moreland, Littleton, Colo.; her son, Ken (Deb) Boilesen, Rothschild, Wis.; and five grandchildren, Dane and Kara Moreland, and Tiffany, Jill, and Erik Boilesen. Her surviving brother, Hans Pedersen, still resides in Denmark.

There will be a get together in memory of Ketty at Mackinaws Grill and Spirits, 2925 Voyager Drive, Green Bay, WI 54311, from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2, 2010. The family extends an invitation to all of Ketty's close friends and colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Unity Hospice in Ketty Boilesen's name. (Unity Hospice, 2366 Oak Ridge Circle, De Pere, WI 54115).
