J-Term Aid Permission Form
Use your Spring financial aid to cover your J-Term charges
Financial aid is typically applied right before the spring term begins and throughout that term. Because J-Term takes place before the spring semester starts, financial aid doesn't automatically pay J-Term charges. To use spring financial aid for J-Term, you must submit the J-Term Aid Permission Form. To be considered, submit this one-time form by January 22, 2026.
Who should complete this form?
You should complete this form if your total anticipated Spring Financial Aid (grants, loans, scholarships) is enough to cover your Spring and J-term tuition and fees.
Requirements for Eligibility:
- You are enrolled in J-Term classes
- You will receive Spring financial aid (grants, loans or scholarships)
- Your total Spring financial aid is enough to cover your Spring charges and your J-Term charges
How to View Your Total Charges
You can check your balances in SIS:
- Log in to SIS
- Select Account Inquiry on the left
- Select the amounts for J-Term and Spring.
Why Submit this Form
This form gives UW-Green Bay permission to apply any extra Spring financial aid to your J-Term balance. Without this permission, we can only use Spring aid for Spring charges, even if you owe money for J-Term.
Pay for J-term with Financial Aid
Submitting this form ensures your J-term balance is covered by your anticipated financial aid.
Avoid Late Fees
Submit this one-time form by January 22, 2026 to avoid a J-Term late fee if your Spring aid is enough to cover both terms.
Remaining Balance
If your financial aid doesn't cover everything you owe, you will be charged the late fee unless you pay the remaining balance out of pocket.
For example, lets say your charges are $3,000 and you are expecting $2,000 of financial aid. If you submit this form and pay the remaining $1,000 yourself, you won't be charged a late fee.
What Happens Next?
After Spring financial aid is applied, Student Billing will review accounts. If you submitted this form by the deadline and met the requirements above, your J-Term late fee will be waived.
