Tuition Differentials

Tuition differentials refer to the additional costs applied for certain students or for specific programs or courses. These differentials are typically applied in addition to the base tuition fees and vary based on various factors. These tuition differentials are implemented to bridge the financial gap between the base tuition and the additional expenses associated with specific programs. By charging these differentials, UW-Green Bay can provide enhanced resources, facilities, and support for students in the respective programs, ensuring a high-quality educational experience. Below are the tuition differentials currently in place. You can see differential tuition costs in the tables on the tuition and fees page.

Undergraduate Differential

The undergraduate differential applies to all undergraduate students and is used to increase opportunities for high-impact experiences for students, improve career planning, academic advising, student worker wages, professional development and financial aid.

Computer Science

The Computer Science differential fee is used to support the Computer Science program for students who have declared a Computer Science degree. This includes increased lab hours, new lab exercises, software improvements, faculty compensation and laboratory facilities. 

Nursing

The Nursing differential fee is used to support the Nursing program and applies to the 65 credits of the Nursing program for students who have declared the Traditional Nursing degree. This fee is used to improve clinical equipment, faculty compensation and supplies.

Engineering Programs

The Engineering differential fee is used to support our Engineering programs and applies to students who have declared one of our Engineering degrees. This fee is used to improve equipment, faculty compensation and supplies.
